Hour Challenges and Blessings of 2020

2020 has been a year of many ups and downs. Hour Children has been there for our participants every step of the way with our essential programs. We pivoted to meet the urgent needs of Hour women, children and community – masking, social distancing and connecting remotely so that no one was left behind.

Hour Children has great hopes for the future. “I see it as continuing to serve the needs of women who are inside the prison, and their families, who come home to a welcoming community,” says Sister Tesa, “But also to expand the number of people we’re able to help.”

Our mission becomes richer because of community and giving back. Sister Tesa wants Hour children to have a future that is focused on giving back; for them to have an awareness that, “I was given an opportunity and now it’s my turn to give back to others in need.”

Now it’s your turn. Sister Tesa invites you to join her in making sure Hour children and Hour women have the opportunities they need to be vibrant members of their families and communities.

Thank you for coming along this journey with us. We invite you to watch our final video of 2020 below, celebrate your blessings and support our essential services that will be needed now more than ever.
