Each year, Hour Children provides compassionate, comprehensive services to over 4,500 clients, including housing to almost 200 families. Our array of programs, provided during the period of separation and upon the mother’s return to the community, nurture the family bond and support the connection between a mother and her child.
Our comprehensive programming supports mothers and their children at each stage of their journey.
Hour Children works inside the city and state’s jails and prisons to nurture strong, and happy, healthy relationships between incarcerated mothers and their children.
We provide transitional and permanent housing in both communal and independent settings. Residents are supported by a robust array of case management and mental health services for women and their children.
Through job training, educational opportunities and mentoring, we provide women the essential skills to find success in the workplace.
Open to both clients and the wider community, our supermarket-style food pantry provides healthy, nutritious options.
We offer a variety of engaging and meaningful programs for the children who are part of our community, from infancy through their teenage years.
Our two locations offer affordable shopping, provide jobs and training for our women, and earn revenue to help fund our programming.
We couldn’t do Hour work without your support.
