March for Parole Justice and Action Tools

We have two weeks until the end of New York State’s legislative session. That means we have two weeks to pass the Elder Parole and Fair & Timely Parole bills. Release Aging People in Prison (RAPP) need your help.

Take three simple actions TODAY to help bring #ParoleJusticeNY to New York State.

1. Please use this quick and easy Phone 2 Action Tool TODAY to call, email, and tweet at your NY State legislators and urge them to pass the Elder Parole and Fair & Timely Parole bills to bring hope and healing to families across the state.
2. We are looking for a groundswell of support this week, so use the tool TODAY and get the word out on social media using this social media guide.
3. In addition to using the tool yourself and boosting it on social media, please forward this email to 5-10 people living anywhere in NY State right now!

In addition calling, emailing, and tweeting, and participating in local community demonstrations, we ask that you join us on June 5th for a March for Parole Justice.

Beginning at 12PM, outside Gov. Cuomo’s NYC office RAPP will be holding a rally and then march to the Downtown Manhattan legislative offices of Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins and Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie. We’re hoping to gather at least 1,000 people for this march so please RSVP, and spread the word far and wide. If you live outside NYC, we’ll be chartering buses (with COVID protocols) from all corners of the state. RSVP here today.
